As a Pastor of Elevate Ministries, a college ministry at Jacksonville State University, Cory Jr. brings a wealth of diverse experiences and talents to ministry. Cory is a proud alumnus of Jacksonville State University, where he pursued a Communications degree and further developed his passion for serving others. He continues his educational pursuits at the esteemed University of Alabama, deepening his knowledge and expanding his understanding of higher education leadership.

Music has been an integral part of his life from a young age. Starting his musical journey at the tender age of 5, Cory has honed his skills and cultivated a deep appreciation for the power of music in all genres.

 

His calling to ministry was evident from an early age. At just 13 years old, he delivered his first sermon in front of hundreds of people, demonstrating a remarkable gift for communicating the message of faith and inspiring others. Since then, he has continued to grow in his preaching abilities, captivating audiences with his heartfelt messages and relatable approach. For many years, he sat under the leadership of Bishop Maurice Keller and Pastor Shulanda Keller. 

 

Cory served as a youth pastor at Tower of Prayer Church in Leeds, Alabama, for some time, where he was under the leadership of Apostle Shaemun Webster. He continues to lead Elevate Ministries.

 

Combining his educational background, musical talents, and early calling to ministry, Cory brings a unique and multifaceted perspective to his role as Pastor. His experiences and gifts enable him to connect with young individuals deeply, providing guidance, support, and a genuine understanding of their challenges.

 

Through his ministry, Cory seeks to inspire young hearts, foster spiritual growth, and empower the next generation to live out their faith with authenticity and purpose. With his passion for ministry, musical talents, and unwavering dedication, he is impacting the lives of youth and college students, helping them navigate their spiritual journeys and discover their true potential.

 

He is happily married to the wonderful Ariana O'Neal, and they have two fur babies, Otis James and Henry.
